Weather and Meteorology with Marcus Walter

Marcus Walter is news anchor and meteorologist with WTVO/WQRF Eyewitness News in Rockford, IL. He holds a B.S. degree in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University (2008), and a M.S. degree in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University (2013), Marcus started his

TV career working behind the scenes at ABC’s Good Morning America in New York City, working directly with Sam Champion and Ginger Zee, producing weather coverage for the United States. From GMA, his career shifted to being an on-camera meteorologist, working for TV stations and media companies in Cleveland, Denver, Baltimore and Louisiana.

In roles as a news anchor and meteorologist, Marcus hopes to connect with and be of service to the Rockford community and beyond, and encourage others from all backgrounds to push toward their goals and dreams.

In his spare time he enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring, watching streaming services and singing karaoke!
